The use and protection of the Customer’s personal data that is under the responsibility of Verge Properties complies with European legislation on personal data protection, in particular the provisions of EU Regulation 2016/679.

1. Who is in charge of processing my personal data?

The company FÓRMULAS E PARCELAS, LDA, with registered office at Avenida Marques de Tomar 44, 7º Dto 1050-156 Lisboa, with a share capital of 5,000.00 Euros is responsible for processing the personal data.

2. What personal data may Verge Properties collect?

In this context, the term “personal data” means the set of information relating to you, that enables us to identify you, directly or indirectly, whereby your personal data consists of, for example, your name, your tax number, your contact details, your transactions, as well as your interactions with us.

We may also receive your personal data from other companies, in particular where they collect, process or store it as part of a service contract.

Verge Properties may receive the following types of personal data:

  1. a) Customer data (name and tax identification number) when you purchase our products or services or place orders for collection in shop
  2. b) User data with online registration, Customer identification – name, e-mail, address, tax number, passport and telephone contact;
  3. c) Customer data for after sales services – name, address, postcode, telephone contact, email, purchase details and complaints;
  4. d) Recording of calls, emails or chats for remote contact – when you contact the Customer Support team.

3. How and why does Verge Properties use my personal data?

Verge Properties does so, namely for the following purposes:

  1. a) Marketing: to inform you about news and offers that may be of interest to you;
  2. b) Transactions: to issue invoices for the acquisition of goods and services;
  3. c) Deliveries or dispatches of correspondence;
  4. d) Customer service contacts: to be able to provide a supportive, pre and post-sales service and consultancy;
  5. e) Service management: so that we can provide you with the service you have contracted us for.

4. How long will Verge Properties keep my personal data?

  1. f) We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the requirements in point 7.3, as well as to comply with applicable legislation. Once the maximum retention period has elapsed, your personal data will be anonymised or securely deleted.

  4. i) Transactions: we keep your data for a period of 3 years;
  5. j) Customer Support contacts: we keep a record of your calls for 3 months and a record of your written interactions for 3 years.
  6. k) Guarantees and after-sales support: we keep your data for a period of 3 years;
  7. l) Service management: we keep your data for a period of 1 year.

5. With whom may Verge Properties share personal customer data?

Fundamentally with third party service providers of Verge Properties, namely companies involved in the purchasing process and collection management, transport, storage, marketing, website hosting and banking entities.

Verge Properties subcontracts with highly regarded service providers who may process your data only for the purposes stipulated by Verge Properties, and in compliance with the legislation on personal data protection and other applicable laws. Only the personal data necessary for the provision of the service in question will be made available to these companies.

To the extent required by law, we may have to disclose your personal data to authorities or third parties, in which case our control over how your personal data is protected is limited.

6. Can Verge Properties transfer my data to countries outside the European Union?

This will only happen in case of legitimate interest of the data subject, while maintaining the same level of protection guarantee.

7. How does Verge Properties ensure the security of Customer data?

Verge Properties has several information security measures, in line with the best national and international practices, in order to protect your personal data, including administrative, technical, physical measures and procedures that ensure the protection of your personal data, preventing its misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure, loss, improper or inadvertent alteration, or unauthorised destruction.

Examples of measures are as follows:

  1. a) Restricted access to your personal data only by those who need it for the purposes described above;
  2. b) Storing and transferring personal data only in a secure manner;
  3. c) Protection of information systems through devices that prevent unauthorised access to your personal data;
  4. d) Redundancy of personal data storage, processing and communication equipment to avoid loss of availability.

8. Why do we use cookies and how do we guarantee your privacy?

Cookies are small text files sent to your computer or mobile device when you visit websites. They make it possible to improve the performance and browsing experience of customers, allowing us to store and retrieve information

about their browsing habits, in order to personalise browsing according to their frequent choices.

The cookies that Verge Properties collects do not make it possible to identify the user, as they only store generic information, namely the way and/or place of access and the way in which the websites are used. Thus, they only collect information related to your preferences as a user.
